A recent change of ownership at this Downtown Italian that's "close to the Capitol Building" may account for a healthy jump in the Food Score, and boosters are buzzing over "great pasta dishes" and some of the "best pizzas in town" from a wood-fired brick over, served in a "homey" space accented with dark mahogany and tangerine walls. Expect to wait, especially at lunch, but the pundits promise the "excellent" offerings are "worth it".
This casual Italian favorite is a great place to seal a business deal over great pasta and a bottle of wine. All of the traditional dishes are prepared with flair, including calamari, shrimp linguini with white wine, and lip-smacking lasagna. All of the items are served in generous portions, including classic desserts like tiramisu. The white-tablecloth elegance of the dining room is accented with friendly service and a relaxed ambience. Business casual attire.
Set in the same location over Underground Atlanta for more than 15 years, tourists and government employees tend to dominate the clientele here, since the proximity to both downtown attractions and government buildings is convenient. The menu is comprised of traditional Italian dishes with modern flair, as well as an array of desserts, all made in-house.
The food is great and the service and ambiance is wonderful. The salmon is the best I have ever tasted - the seasoning was perfect! This is a very classy place to eat and entertain that someone special. If you want to impress someone, bring them here! ... you get a nice sized serving of pasta and italian favorites as well as delicious seafood.

I went there with colleagues and were impressed with the appetizers. Really good fried mozzarella, good calamari fritta and great crab cakes. The chef special was an interesting dish of chicken stuffed with spinach, goat cheese and prosciutto... risotto was excellent... garlicy. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating.
